Meals on Wheels of Wilkes County provides a nutritionally-balanced lunch delivered Monday through Friday to homebound seniors 60 years of age or older.  Meals provide a minimum of one-third of the daily Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) established by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science.

Outdoor and indoor pantries located at some of the Wilkes County Schools sites and other locations for families/individuals to have easy access to food. Blessing boxes are located outside at the following schools: Boomer-Ferguson Elementary, CB Eller Elementary, CC Wright Elementary, Mulberry Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Mt. Pleasant Elementary, Roaring River Elementary, Ronda-Clingman Elementary, Wilkesboro Elementary, Central Wilkes Middle School, West Wilkes Middle School, North Wilkes Middle School. West Wilkes High School, East Wilkes Middle School also have food pantries inside the school for students/families in need.
