Wilkes County Public Library Adult Services

 

Wilkes County Public Library is pleased to be the regular meeting place for several community organizations. Read about them below and consider attending!


๐Ÿ“š Library Book Club The official book club of the library, facilitated by the Adult Services Manager, meets every third Tuesday at 4 pm. Be sure to view the back of the Adult Services calendar for details on the current book!

โญ Talking Service Book Club This org is dedicated to veterans and those who care about them. They meet every second Friday at 10 am to discuss stories focusing on veterans' issues. They are always eager for new members!

๐Ÿงถ Chicks with Sticks Dedicated crocheters and knitters, this organization meets Mondays at 4 pm. They are always happy to welcome new members, young or old, and delight in sharing their knowledge. This group is open to everyone, not just the chicks!

๐Ÿ“ Wilkes County Creative Writers This group of writers meets every second Tuesday at 1:30 pm to share their writings and passion for the craft and is open to anyone who has likeminded creativity.

๐Ÿช• Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society This group of bluegrass and folk musicians meets every second Monday at 5 pm for a monthly "jam session" at the library. They always appreciate an audience, and welcome new players!

๐ŸŒณ Wilkes Genealogical Society This organization meets every fourth Tuesday at 5:30 pm to focus on the rich heritage and lineages of Wilkes County.
