I have always been interested in how the stories we tell and the stories we don't tell shape our memories and our lives. When I realized that part of the work of libraries and archives, one that is not so well-known in America, is shaping and preserving the collective memory of our society, I knew that I wanted to be a part of that work. Now that I am a librarian, I love many other things about the profession. Chiefly, I enjoy connecting people with the information they need to be successful, whether that is achieved through the use of technology, community resources, or good old-fashioned books!
