We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Readsquared. Starting June 6th, the Watauga County Public Library and the Western Watauga Branch Library will give patrons access to a Virtual Summer Learning sign up. Sign up for Readsquared at http://wataugacountylibrary.readsquared.com/
All programs are free of charge.
Children and teens who participate in summer library programs benefit from engaging activities and opportunities which promote literacy development and can help to counter summer slide. Summer library programs for all ages enhance lifelong learning and provide meaningful, enjoyable experiences available to everyone in the community.

Read or listen to any books that interest you. The materials can be from any
library or your own collection. When you complete 100 minutes a week, 20 minutes a day, you get a book or a prize. When you turn in your finished log you’ll be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a grand prize, so please return your log. The summer reading program starts June 6th and ends July 30th.
TEENS:
13 years and Up
Read or listen to any books that interest you. The materials can be from any library or your own collection. When you complete 100 minutes (pick up a paper log at the library or log minutes online on READsquared) you get a prize, book, or food coupon. When you turn in your finished log you’ll be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a grand prize, so please return your log or record your reading on READsquared.
