Ashe County Summer Learning 2022

Adults, Teens, & Children

Each week’s kit will focus on either a mystery or a mocktail and will provide you with lots of goodies to encourage a summer full of reading fun! But to preserve, well, the mystery, the contents of each kit will be added here only after that kit has been announced. Adults must be registered for summer reading to be eligible to reserve these kits. Registered adults will be added to an email list and will receive each week's sign-up link via email newsletter on Sunday afternoon.

June 1: Registration

The first 40 adults to register for the Adult Summer Learning will receive a kit that includes information about the summer learning program and a copy of Lottie Muir's Wild Mocktails. We will notify you via email if you are one of the first 40 folks to register.

June 5: Week 1

The first 20 adults to register receive a kit containing a copy of Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley along with a copy of an interview with the author.  As participants enjoy reading, they can sip on some English tea and indulge in some British biscuits to set the mood!

June 12: Week 2

The first 20 adults to register receive a kit containing supplies to make a fabulous Virgin Cucumber Gimlet!  While sipping this delightful beverage, participants can enjoy reading a "mystery" poem and solving a riddle on theme with this week's kit.
