Started as a celebration of National Lego Day, Lego Challenge brought together kid and adult builders on Zoom. Participants were given a building prompt to start the session. They shared their creations, voted on the next build, and shared other things they were proud of from Monday through Saturday during the last week of January 2021. At the end of the week, all attendees were entered in to a drawing for a Lego Creations book and a Star Wars building book. Everyone who registered and attended the Zoom sessions got free building blocks.
Due to the massive success (and boundless joy and delight) of the program, Lego Challenge has been extended several times. During the spring of 2021, builders met every other Monday from February 8 to May 17. During the summer of 2021, builders met every Tuesday night from June 16 to August 24.
We have greatly enjoyed building together. We don't know what the future of Lego Challenge will be, but we hope that you will join us in building creatively. Check out these great Lego videos for inspiration.
