Ashe County Reading Challenge 2021: FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't see your question below, visit the Contact page to get in touch with your friendly librarians.

Do I have to do the challenges in order?

Nope. Feel free to tackle them in any order (or disorder) that suits you.

Do I have to complete all of the challenges to be eligible for prizes?

Nope again, but we sure would love it if you did!

When does the challenge end?

December 31, 2021, at midnight.

Who decides whether my submission counts?

We have three staff members who evaluate submissions, communicate with participants, and maintain the website. It's a lot of work, but we love doing it because y'all love reading. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, we are happy to listen!

What do you mean by an "award winner"? Does an honoree count?

In years past, when we had many challenges that required participants to read award winners, we accepted "honor" books as well. This year, only award winners will do. If you need help locating an appropriate award winner, see the categories page or ask us (by email, telephone, or in person). We'd love to help you pick a great book!
