What is a Little Free Library?

Basically, a Little Free Library is a box full of books put in an area where those who live nearby can take and/or leave books at any time without having to have a library card.  The concept is fully explained here: Little Free Libraries.

These Little FREE Libraries should not be seen as competition for the public library, but a supplement to what the library does by helping to spread the mission of promoting literacy, the love of reading, and the sense of community.
